Hey there, Instagram fam! ???? So, I’m in a bit of a pickle and I need your help! ???? I’m getting ready for my Umemulo ceremony, and I’m trying to decide what to wear. My friends and family are all like, “Go traditional!”, which I’m good with, but I’m a bit worried about what people might say, you know? I mean, I love our traditional Zulu maiden clothes, but they leave a bit more to the imagination. All my friends and I will be doing the dances and high kicks. And with the live stream on Instagram, I’m just a wee bit nervous about the comments. Will people be like, “Ooh, she’s just doing it for attention,” or worse? ???? But at the same time, I want to honor my culture and feel good about myself. What do you guys think? Should I rock the traditional look and let my breasts breathe, or play it safe and cover up a bit?
